Getting tattooed should not depend on knowing the right person or refreshing a booking page at midnight. STNCL exists so a good idea is enough: post what you want, your budget and your timing, and let licensed artists who actually love that kind of work come to you.
The idea comes first
Most tattoo hunting starts with scrolling artist feeds and hoping someone is free. STNCL flips it: you describe the piece, and artists whose work genuinely fits decide whether to raise their hand.
Honest numbers up front
Every offer carries a real estimate, session count and earliest availability before anyone commits. No hidden day rates, no vague waitlists.
Artists stay in control
Artists set their styles, travel radius and minimum, and only see requests that match. Pricing, technique and scheduling always belong to the artist — never to us.
Privacy by default
Your exact address is only used to measure distance. Artists see your city and how far away you are, never the address itself. Reference photos live in private storage.
