How STNCL uses local storage and cookies.
Last updated 23 September 2026
Essential storage
Your sign-in session is stored in your browser (local storage and, when the site renders on our servers, a matching session cookie) so you stay signed in between visits. Clearing it signs you out.
An unfinished tattoo request is saved as a draft in your browser so you do not lose progress. Posting or discarding the request removes it.
That is all the browser storage STNCL sets: a sign-in session and an unfinished request draft. There are no other cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts storing anything on your device, so there is no cookie banner to click through.
Notifications
If you turn on push notifications, your device registration token is stored in your STNCL account so we can deliver alerts about proposals, messages and bookings. Turning notifications off removes it.
Product analytics
We record a small number of first-party events — such as a request being posted or an artist being chosen — in our own database against your account. They are not cookies, they are not shared with an analytics company, and they are used only to see which parts of STNCL work. Deleting your account removes them from your profile.
What STNCL does not use
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no cross-site tracking, no third-party advertising or analytics profiles, and no data sold or shared for advertising. Technical error diagnostics may be logged to operate and fix the service; they are not used for advertising. Address lookups are sent to Google Maps Platform when you confirm an address, without your name or email.
